SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
- At the SIGARMS Academy, Mr. Miller developed and implemented rifle, pistol, and tactical firing ranges that followed EPA and OSHA guidelines. He also developed a full curriculum of firearms and related use of force courses for law enforcement, military, and responsible citizens.
- Mr. Miller's primary responsibility as Chief Firearms Instructor was to provide overall program responsibility for all DEA Firearms and Tactical Training, Course Development, Lesson Plans, Teaching Techniques, Weapon and Ammunition Testing and Evaluation, In-Service Programs and Special Operations.
- Mr. Miller has been trained at the USMC Scout / Sniper School while assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
- Mr. Miller was Marksmanship Coordinator for the 310th TAACOM U.S. Army Reserve Unit, and retired with 28 years of honorable service, April, 1992.
- Mr. Miller's present rank is Chief Warrant Officer.
- Mr. Miller is a Vietnam Veteran and served with the 1st Cavalry Division.
- Mr. Miller has been trained in small unit tactics and use of explosives.
- Mr. Miller is a Distinguished Pistol Shooter and is a Master Shooter for Composite PPC. He is also active in the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) and has been a member of the All Reserve Shooting Team.
- Mr. Miller has trained and shot with Messrs. Bill Rodgers, Ray Chapman, John Shaw, and other world-class shooters.
- Mr. Miller is a Certified Firearms and Toolmark Examiner and has testified as an expert in the field well over 200 times in the Superior Court and Federal Courts of Washington, D.C., Virginia and Florida.
